In 2021 Uniflex won two awards in the prestigious specialized international flexographic competition EFIA Print Awards. Company won “Gold” for the packaging of the ready icing mix for Gurmina brand and “Silver” for the packaging of the ready brownie mix for the same brand, both in the category “Flexo print on film”.

Uniflex has won awards in EFIA competition six years in a row since 2016, which proves exceptionally high quality of printing and stability of packaging production from year to year.

“We were not surprised that our packaging was recognized in the EFIA Print Awards again, as we are confident in the high quality of Uniflex printing. But each time the entire Uniflex team is pleased by victory, as if it were the first time. We have set the highest print quality requirements for ourselves and it is a great piece of work of our professional team of specialists to maintain this level, gaining vast experience, having a good feeling of the market, constantly improving in the field of printing and renewing our equipment park”, General Director of Uniflex Alexander Khomichenko commented on the victory.

This year Gold Awards went to Olympus Print Group, East Riding Sacks, Smurfit Kappa, Roberts Mart, Interflex Group, Saica, Coveris, Packaging Technologies, Vista Labels, Cardboard Box, AV Flexologic, DS Smith Packaging, Amberley Labels, Miraclon, Uniflex, International Paper Italia and Emirates.

“We used a combination of various screening technologies with resolution of up to 175 lpi for the print of the designs that Uniflex submitted for the competition. Due to it we achieved photographic quality of image details and ultra-realistic look of food and managed to print background with fine details. In general, our company constantly innovates flexographic printing technologies ensuring high quality printing and resolution up to 200 lpi, which allows us to compete with rotogravure and offset”, said Sergey Kostin, Deputy General Director for Technologies.

The awards ceremony took place in York on November 4. The awards brought together the most innovative companies from across the flexographic industry, leading international printing houses and large regional companies that are distinguished by high print quality, innovation, sustainability and technological development.

The competition is hosted by Flexographic Industry Association UK. The winners are chosen by the expert council of the EFIA Print Awards, which consists of professionals representing printers, suppliers, retail chains, brands. Experts vote for the best based on a set of requirements and rules, that are available for public review on the award website. This competition has been held since 2009 being the most prestigious and popular event among professional players in the flexo printing market.
