Uniflex mono-material packaging received certificates confirming its suitability for recycling now from the independent European laboratory Interseroh.
Uniflex decided not to limit itself to one source of expertise for confirming the possibility of recycling of its mono-material packaging. Two bag samples made only from PE were sent to the German laboratory. The samples scored 18 out of 20 indicating a high level of potential involvement of packaging in production of secondary raw materials.
Uniflex eco-friendly packaging was tested according to 3 criteria: suitability for waste collection, packaging sorting and suitability for mechanical recycling into secondary resources.
Certificates are valid until 03/29/2024.
Previously Uniflex received certificates from German Institute Cyclos-HTP GmbH confirming the recyclability of up to 97%.
