EFIA 2016 Flexo Printing Awards – Uniflex victory!

We are extremely proud to announce that the EFIA (European Flexographic Industry Association) awarded our flexible packaging first, second, and third places in the competition.

The EFIA Annual Print Awards 2016 took place March 16-17 in Birmingham, UK. It is a major flexo printing international competition event created to foster the development of flexo printing technologies and distinguish the best works in flexible packaging.

Valencian beans – gold award in Flexo Print on Film international category (sponsored by hubergroup). This salty snack packaging features lots of realistic images in great detail. Our goal was to make the beans and salt texture look 100% real and bright, with high contrast between the bottom and the top of the package. We implemented Multicolor extended color gamut technology to cover all color hues and shades in the design.

Happy Fit Neapolitan wafers – silver award in Flexo Print on Film international category (sponsored by hubergroup). This flexible packaging features saturated, vivid yellow colors. To implement them in print we used Multicolor technology with 174 lpi printing resolution. Central design elements are highlighted with Cast&Cure selective varnishing and holographing technology.

Happy Swing – bronze award in Use of flexo in a combination print category (sponsored by JFM Plates Ltd). Large solid areas were printed using HD Flexo technology. We aimed at creating an inspiring and attractive packaging and HD Flexo really shines here with deep colors and high contrast. The flicker effect on the sweet sticks is done with Cast&Cure, a unique selective holographing technology designed to draw consumer's attention to key parts of the package design.
